Adjunct Professor
1. What is ISC?

ISC is a six-weeks credit-bearing intensive summer campus program that offers over 100 courses in English, from late June to Early August each year. ISC annually enrolls 1500 students as well as hosts over 50 professors from some of the world's most renowned institutions. ISC faculty are officially appointed as adjunct professors for the period of program and will have the opportunity to enjoy all the benefits of being a visiting professor at KU, a true hub of international education in Asia.

2. Benefits for ISC adjunct faculty

1) Salary:
6,000 ~ 10,000 USD per course (Salary for a second course is 80% of first course)
* Salary is decided based on the institution, position and teaching experience.
2) Round-trip economy class airfare subsidy:
Specific amount will be provided depending on your country and location of departure
* The airfare subsidy will be disbursed along with your salary
3) Accommodation:
Single on or off campus housing will be provided
No additional monetary subsidy in lieu of designated housing is available
Family housing is available off-campus (additional cost is faculty's responsibility)
4) Shared office with phone and individual PC
5) Full time Student Assistants
6) ISC faculty support office
7) Free Cultural Field Trip(optional)
8) Free Korean Language Class(optional)
9) Opportunity to network/meet with KU colleagues in your discipline(optional)

4. Application Process

Thank you for your interest in the International Summer Campus adjunct faculty position. Please refer to the following procedures on how to apply to become an ISC adjunct faculty.

1) Submit your CV to the ISC office by email at muscle73@korea.ac.kr
2) Reviewing the CVs by the advisory committee
3) Notification of your application(within 8-10 weeks of receipt of application)
4) Confirmation of benefits including salary, airfare and housing.
5) Signing contract and preparations on visa and other pre-departure matters.

¡Ø Students can join various day trips on Fridays.

Each class offers a full-semester load of course work, totaling 48 hours, condensed into six weeks. No prior knowledge of Korean is necessary for enrollment and the medium of instruction for all courses is English (except for Korean language classes). Students can take up to a maximum of three courses and each one is worth 3 credits. Classes are held from Monday through Thursday.

All classes have a limit of 50 students. Any class with less than 10 student enrollment may be cancelled.
